Rachael

Rachael

Rachael is 22 and is the yard manager, she has worked there 4 years. Rachaels job is to oversee the care of liveries, and the riding school, including care of horses, teaching clients, organising events, care and maintinence of schools and yard. In her spare time Rachael competes with her horse Wattie.

Qualifications:

Equine specific first aid, BHS Riding Road Safety, BHS Stage 2 riding and care, NVQ L1, NVQ L2, Rachael is working towards her BHS stage 3, PTT, and UKCC Coaching Certifacte.

Jordan

Jordan

Jordan is working as a student, he has worked here for about 1 1/2 years, and is very popular with alot of clients! Jordan's job is to care for the horses, liveries and riding school. Jordan also teaches some clients, alot of our novice adults enjoy his lessons! Jordan is also very good at driving the tractor, moving bales around. Jordan has an older retired pony and for a while competed on his horse Anna, who he unfortunatly had to give up, he continues to compete on yard horses.

Qualifications:

Equine Specific first aid, Working towards SVQ level 2.

Heather

Heather is 25 and has not been working with us long, has not been around horses much either, but is very keen to learn and is persuing her dream job! Heather works very hard catching/turning out horses, mucking out, tacking up, doing general yard duties. She has a young child of her own and is therefore very good with the young children and yard helpers. Heather is in the process of buying her own horse, which she will progress with in abilty and confidence! Heather is also training with us hoping to achive her SVQ's.

Andy

Andy is Co. Owner of Wester Deanhead, he works in the office, alongside his joinery company, and helping out at Kingsbarn EC. Andy deals with most of the paper work, works behind the desk on a weekend and also works behind the bar serving refreshments. He also serves beverages behind the bar at our partie's! Andy and his joiners also take care of any repairs around the yard, and taking on new projects thrown at them by the staff and liveries. To add to his talents he is also a qualified phsycologist!

Jackie

Jackie has been around horses all her life! Jackie is Co. owner alongside Andy. Jackie has completed a course in animal behaviour, and can tell you the strangest things about horses that you would never have known. She is full of information! Jackie has many buisnesses, which she has built up over the years with alot of hard work. She comes along to do some teaching, mainly liveries, and comes along to check the running of the yard. Aside from this Jackie is Running Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre in Falkirk, running a busy hair salon in Rosyth, helping with joiner buisness, managing accounts and alongside andy is property developing. Jackie also has a string f very succsesfull showjumpers, ridden by Greg Taylor which are often away competing at a very high international level.

Tilly

Tilly

Tilly is our "guard" dog, She works alongside Boe (Mr Bowjangles) making sure every one is happy! if your not then a quick cuddle and lick will soon sort that! Tilly has been brought up living at Wester Deanhead from the age of 4 months and is now 15 months.
